Seasonal jobs would probably be more abundant in Miami. If you enjoy going out at night and the beach then pick Miami. If you speak Spanish, go to Miami. If you like extremely hot weather and more family communities then pick Tampa.

Its probably easier to find a job in Tampa but funner and more rewarding (you'd make more money from tips) in Miami.

I would definetly pick Tampa. Much less crime and famous Clearwater Beach with beautiful restaurants and very nice people. Tampa has much cooler weather than Miami. There is usually a 10-30 degree difference of cooler temperatures in Tampa. So if givin the choice of working in a beautiful gulf coast town with seasons and cool weather (Tampa), or living in a never-ending hot, flat marsh, with a bunch of mosquitos and crime (Miami), I'd go with Tampa.

About If i am in the Air Force Reserves and i live and work in Tampa but the job i want is at Eglin will the reserve

If i am in the Air Force Reserves and i live and work in Tampa but the job i want is at Eglin will the reserve?
If i am in the Air Force Reserves and i live and work in Tampa but the job i want is at Eglin will the reserves fly me to Eglin for that weekend? I heard its call the cactus flight, is it only specific jobs they do this for, or does the travel distance play into effect? (Tampa to Eglin is roughly 400 miles apart)

Being paid to fly to/from Reserve duty is not offered for every AFSC. So you need to check and see if it is offered for your AFSC and squadron. My wife was an Air Force Flight Nurse in the Reserves, attached to a unit that was 250 miles from where we lived. She was NOT entitled to this benefit, and eventually left the Air Force Reserves because the commute was getting to be a hardship.

Some, but very few units offer a travel incentive. Most will pay for billeting/hotel if you live more than 50 miles away. Travel is up to you. While at McGuire, we flew to Westover, MA every drill weekend to pick up Reservists on Friday evening. Then flew them back on Sunday evening. This was because the unit they were attached to had been shut down. It happens but not often.
